How to quickly heal inflammation in the body? Learn about natural weapons against inflammation

Many of us have experienced the unpleasant signs of inflammation - pain, swelling or general weakness. Inflammation can be the body's response to infection, injury, allergies or chronic disease. Although they are a natural defence mechanism, when they last too long or occur too frequently, they can become the source of many health problems.

Is there a natural weapon against these troublesome conditions? The answer is yes, and the key factor is the body's ability to defend itself. We suggest how to heal inflammation quickly and effectively using the powerful force of nature and the right healthy lifestyle strategies. Learn the secrets to fighting inflammation and how to protect your body from its negative effects.

What is inflammation?

Inflammation is the body's complex defence response to various stimuli, such as infection, injury, allergies or tissue damage. Although it may be an inevitable part of the healing and repair process, it is often accompanied by unpleasant discomforts such as pain, swelling and fever. At a microscopic level, inflammation is the result of a coordinated sequence of immune reactions to remove pathogens or irritants and repair damaged tissues.

Silent killers - or hidden inflammations

An increase in body temperature, burning, joint pain, fever or infection - often accompany inflammation. However, this is not the only form of inflammation. The body may experience what is known as silent inflammation, which means that its symptoms are latent most of the time, have a generalised character and its localisation is not limited to one place. This situation is extremely dangerous, as it can wreak havoc on the entire body before any symptoms begin to appear.

One of the most common causes of chronic inflammation is insulin resistance. High insulin and glucose levels are not just down to diabetes, but disorganise the whole body. Insulin resistance and the type 2 diabetes that develops from it generate inflammation because the disorder is accompanied by the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Which in turn leads to the generation of large amounts of free radicals, which damage the delicate cell structure in the body. Which is already a simple route to much more serious conditions such as atherosclerosis, high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke and even cancer.

Inflammation in the body - what to choose? Natural remedies or drugs?

Inflammation in the body can be treated both by natural means and by medication, depending on its type, severity and cause. As far as medication is concerned, in particular non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), they should not be taken without first consulting your doctor. We therefore encourage you to make use of natural substances that will alleviate the symptoms and bring relief from inflammation:

  • Anti-inflammatory diet: A healthy diet rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory ingredients, such as vegetables, fruits, fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids, nuts and spices, can help relieve inflammation. Unique foods that are particularly appreciated for reducing inflammation are:
    • bromelain,
    • curcumin,
    • resveratrol,
    • boswellia serrata,
    • fluffy capsicum.
  • Physical activity: Regular moderate physical activity can help regulate inflammation and improve overall fitness.
  • Supplements and herbs: certain supplements, such as curcumin, vitamin D and omega-3, and herbs such as ginger and garlic, show anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Healthy lifestyles: Adequate sleep, stress management and avoidance of stimulants such as smoking and excessive alcohol consumption can help to control inflammation.

Can Chinese tea help fight inflammation in the body?

As mentioned earlier - an anti-inflammatory diet is a must. To the above list it is worth adding green tea, or rather chinese tea due to the content of the ingredient theacrine. How it works substance? Well, it has been shown in studies to have anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Unfortunately, the levels of the substance are not satisfactory in tea, which is why theacrine is often taken in the form of supplements. Other properties of teacrine include arousal, reduction in feelings of fatigue, better sleep, increased motivation to act, or improved cognitive function. Taking a purine alkaloid will reduce the risk of inflammation and thus help protect the body from the consequences of chronic inflammation.
